- Quality & consistency: Ensure every plate meets our standards for taste, presentation and speed
- Food safety: Maintain excellent hygiene, labelling, allergen controls and HACCP processes
- Teamwork: Support junior team members and collaborate smoothly with FOH to keep service flowing

- Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene certification (or willing to obtain immediately)
- Confidence working under pressure while staying calm, organised and positive
- Strong knowledge of seasonal cooking and interest in local, quality ingredients
- Great time management, clean working habits, and attention to detail
- A team player with a good attitude — reliable, respectful, and proactive
- Someone who brings energy: we work hard, but we always keep it fun
Standard kitchen requirements
- Ability to handle busy services

- Real input into menu development and seasonal changes
- A fast-paced kitchen where you can grow — and enjoy the ride

- Experience supporting menu development and seasonal menu changes
- Basic forecasting skills (prep to covers, weekends, weather, events) and keeping waste low
- Ordering + stock control: rotation, date labelling, deliveries, portion control
- Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene (and strong allergen/HACCP awareness)
- Knowledge of / interest in local suppliers and ingredient provenance
Personality traits that matter at Toaststores
- Calm under pressure: you stay steady, even when the tickets stack up
- Fast + organised: clean station, sharp timing, strong priorities
- Positive team energy: you communicate clearly and back others up without ego
- High standards, no fuss: you care about consistency and detail, but you’re not precious
