Senior Chef

Jiāonest is an independent family-style restaurant inspired by the vibrant flavours of Asia and the warmth of sharing food with people you care about. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on chef who loves Asian cuisine, respects ingredients, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

This is a kitchen role for someone who lives and breathes hospitality, takes pride in their craft, and wants to contribute to something special beyond simply cooking food.

As part of the Jiāonest team, you will:

Prepare and deliver dishes to consistently high standards.
Work with fresh ingredients and bold Asian flavours, with a particular appreciation for Chinese cuisine and spices.
Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to create memorable guest experiences.
Contribute ideas and creativity while respecting recipes and standards.
Help maintain a positive, organised and supportive kitchen culture.
Take pride in cleanliness, food safety and attention to detail.

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 years’ experience in restaurant environment.
Previous experience with Asian cuisine is essential; Chinese cuisine experience is highly desirable.
Genuine passion for Chinese flavours, spices and ingredient-led cooking.
Hands-on, organised and able to perform well under pressure.
Positive attitude with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
Someone who enjoys being part of a family-style environment and contributes to a supportive culture.
Attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality.
Eager to learn, develop and continuously improve.
