Job Description
Since opening last year, The Lavery has quickly built a strong reputation, with generous reviews from The Times and The Guardian and a growing base of regular guests.
As the restaurant and kitchen continue to grow, we are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team and become part of the next stage of our journey.
We cook obsessively seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired food with care, clarity and restraint. Everything is made from scratch - from fresh pasta, bread to ice cream, stocks and sauces. The food is simple in spirit, but thoughtful in detail.
Led by Yohei Furuhashi, formerly of The River Café, Toklas and Petersham Nurseries, the kitchen is small, focused and ambitious. We work closely with an experienced front-of-house team, supported by encouraging reviews and a loyal, growing customer base.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to cook properly, learn every day, and build confidence in a kitchen. We are looking for someone who enjoys seasonal produce, takes pride in the basics, and wants to grow with the restaurant rather than simply pass through it.
You do not need to be perfect. You do need to care, listen, work hard, and bring good energy to the kitchen.
