Job Description

Having recently been awarded a Michelin Star, we are recruiting and experienced Assistant Manager to join our management team. We are a busy neighbourhood pub in Camberwell focussed around food and exceptional, knowledgeable but relaxed service. We have a dedicated restaurant space and a bar area for drinks and further dining, alongside a private dining room for 24 guests and and outside dining space in the Spring/Summer months.

Working alongside the wider management team (General Manager, 2 other AGM and 1 supervisor) you will be responsible for day to day operations.

Strong leadership and organisational skills
Staff development and ongoing training and support
Leading service and motivating the team
Maintaining high service standards
Ensuring cleanliness and and overall appearance of the pub
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

We are a small and independent company and as such the real change can be made without jumping through hoops to get there. We have weekly management meetings and offer ongoing support and development.

Job Requirements

Whilst Michelin experience is not essential we do require managerial level experience in a food focussed pub or restaurant where service is being operated to a high standard. A good understanding of fresh seasonal cooking and a solid working knowledge of old world wine are also required.
