Front of House at Stable Wines

Job Description

Stable Wines is a shop and cellar bar with food from the team at Goodbye Horses.
We believe wine should be fun, living and as close to zero-zero as possible - meaning nothing added, nothing removed. We have an expansive cellar, plenty of options by-the-glass, and a bitey food menu.

Stable Wines is offering a full time role for an enthusiastic wine person to join our front of house team.

As part of our front of house team, you are instrumental to the running of a smooth, energetic service. 
You will be confident in owning your section and setting a composed tone among customers and your colleagues. You will work closely with the kitchen and senior team to deliver high standards and ensuring every guest has a memorable experience at Stable Wines.

Resposibilities include.

• Deliver attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service throughout each shift.
• Build rapport with guests and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Take ownership of your section, ensuring excellent guest experiences and smooth service flow.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen and wider team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.
• Support colleagues to ensure efficient and collaborative service.
• Handle guest queries, feedback, and issues with confidence and professionalism.
• Develop a strong understanding of our food, drinks, and wine offering to support guest recommendations.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar front-of-house role is preferred.
• Good understanding of restaurant service and guest expectations.
• Confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• An interest in food, drink, and restaurant culture.
• An interest in and general understanding of natural wines.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
