Job Requirements

What This Role Requires

Previous experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar role within a high end restaurant, hotel or members’ club.
A strong understanding of restaurant service and the confidence to run a section to a high standard.
Good food and wine knowledge, with a genuine interest in continuing to learn.
Experience supporting and guiding team members.
Confidence working closely with managers, the kitchen and bar to keep service running smoothly.
A good understanding of opening and closing procedures and the importance of preparing the floor properly for service.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to spot when something is not quite right.
The ability to remain calm, organised and positive during busy services.
A natural warmth with guests and an understanding of how to adapt your approach to different people and situations.
An understanding of the discretion and personal approach expected within a private members’ club.
Most importantly, a genuine enjoyment of hospitality and being part of a team that wants to make every service better.
