Bakery & Kitchen Lead

Job Description

• St Clair is looking for a Lead Baker to join our team at our independent, upmarket café in the heart of Holland Park
• You will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, quality, organisation, and smooth service throughout each shift
• The role involves preparing and managing our selection of in-house baked goods, while also contributing to the development and oversight of our wider food menu
• We are looking for someone creative, organised, and genuinely passionate about baking and quality food, with previous experience in a bakery or similar food preparation environment
• You should feel confident working both collaboratively and independently, including managing quieter periods of solo kitchen work
• You will work closely with junior bakers and prep assistants, helping to maintain a positive, supportive, and efficient kitchen culture

Job Requirements

• This is a hands-on, full-time position working five days per week on site, with shifts from 6:30am to 3pm. Weekend availability is essential
• We’re a small but welcoming team that genuinely enjoys working together, values individuality, and takes pride in creating a lively neighbourhood café atmosphere for both locals and visitors
