Milk is a thriving and fast-paced brunch spot, recognised for our delicious food, cool style and fun atmosphere - we're looking for a sous chef to join our passionate and hard working team.
We aim to provide an experience that stands up to the quality of the product we’re presenting - we use good quality produce and are inventive with our flavours, welcoming creativity in the kitchen. New staff members will receive a high level of training to ensure they’re knowledgeable about all aspects of service.
We're looking for someone that’s looking for the next step in their kitchen career - someone that’s ready to step up into a sous chef role, and support our head chef.
Job Requirements
Ideally, the right candidate will have plenty of experience working full time in a fast-paced kitchen and will be passionate about being present and hard-working in a team that adheres to a high standard.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
- Assist & Support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
- Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
- Assisting with the ordering of, close management of stock & labor efficiency
- Ensuring all health and hygiene procedures are implemented & continually adhered to
- Having the ability to work and train on every section of the kitchen
