The Role
-We’re looking for a Head Baker to lead our bakery operation and shape the daily production of breads, pastries, viennoiseries, cakes, and cookies.
-The bakery is central to the offer: strong staples made well, supported by seasonal variations and room to evolve recipes over time. This is a practical, production-led role with space for experimentation and refinement.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead the bakery as Head of Department and oversee daily production
-Produce and manage breads, pastries, viennoiseries, cakes, and cookies
-Set realistic and efficient production schedules
-Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
-Manage ordering, stock, and waste thoughtfully
-Train and support the bakery team
-Refresh and evolve staple products while keeping a clear core offering
-Work closely with the kitchen and wider team
-Standardise systems and procedures
Working Pattern
Around 45 hours per week. Mix of early mornings and later starts depending on production needs
Job Requirements
-Head Baker or Senior Baker experience in a quality-focused operation
-Technically confident across bread and viennoiserie
-Organised, calm, and comfortable running a production-led department
-Strong on hygiene, systems, and consistency
-Curious, thoughtful, and process-driven
