Assistant General Manager

Job Description

At KOL, the Assistant General Manager plays a key role in bringing the restaurant to life every day.

This is a hands-on leadership role, leading from the floor, supporting the General Manager, and helping to shape a team that delivers thoughtful, precise and genuinely warm hospitality.

You’ll take real ownership of the day-to-day — running services, developing people, and making sure every detail reflects the standards we’re known for.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading service from the floor — present, calm and in control
• Supporting and developing a large team, building confidence and capability
• Taking ownership of the guest experience and ensuring every detail lands
• Working closely with the kitchen and bar to deliver seamless service
• Supporting the General Manager with the overall running of the restaurant
• Stepping up to lead the business when needed

Job Requirements

KOL Assistant General Manager Requirements:

• A hands-on, natural leader who can support the General Manager to nurture and develop a large team.
• An enthusiastic and proactive individual, who is happy taking responsibility for all areas of the restaurant.
• Able to work with integrity, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine and hospitality and able to exceed guests’ expectations.
• Responsible for their knowledge and learning in their job role, always looking to consistently be the best.
