Junior Sous Chef required for Darkhorse, Stratford cross, London
We are currently looking for a competent Junior Sous chef to join us to be an integral part of our business.

The candidate must possess a great passion for fantastic food and hospitality and an enthusiastic, committed approach. An in-depth understanding of Modern European cuisine would be desired. We are a local independent restaurant/bar with a focus on seasonal, fresh, organic & a frequently changing seasonal menu
We are located in the East Village at E20- A vibrant zone 2 residential & commercial district created as part of the London 2012 Olympic legacy as the Athletes' village. As part of the greater Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Prepare and cook according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in food preparation and supervise the team.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Support in serving dishes and maintaining presentation standards.
- Utilise culinary experience to contribute to menu development and innovation.

Job Requirements
About you
Ideally, a chef who is looking at the next stage of their career and is willing to develop and grow within our small and friendly team. Your industry experience so far should be a minimum of 12 months as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a reputable kitchen. Possesses a proactive attitude, an eye for detail and pride in the job
