Job Description

We're a brand new neighbourhood café-bakery opening in Hoxton, and we're looking for a talented, driven sous baker to join us from the ground up.

The role
Working closely alongside the head baker, you'll help run daily production and play a key part in establishing the standards and culture of a new bakery. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, not just assisting, but helping to shape how we work.

Responsibilities include:

-Daily production of viennoiserie, bread, and pastries
-Supporting lamination and sourdough/enriched dough programmes
-Stock management and ordering support
-Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
-Opening and closing duties as required
-Supporting the development of junior team members over time

Job Requirements

-Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional bakery
-Strong lamination skills and solid bread production knowledge
-Pride in your craft and an eye for detail
-A collaborative attitude and the ability to thrive in a small, close-knit team
