Job Description
Tasting Plates is a small, growing, family-run catering & events company based in Ealing seeking a passionate individual to become our head chef, helping us deliver exceptional events. This role is available part-time (3 days per week) or full-time. We operate as a close-knit team across various venues in London and beyond. On event days, you’ll run the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and delivering high-quality dishes.
We cater to a wide range of events—corporate or private, canapé parties, weddings, conferences, and more—each with its own unique style. Our events are centred around Italian and Mediterranean cuisines, so knowledge in these areas is preferred. We work with groups of all sizes, from intimate gatherings of 10 guests to large-scale events for 300+.
You'll have plenty of creative freedom and autonomy to design bespoke menus, experiment with seasonal ingredients, and tailor dishes to each event, while contributing to every stage—from planning and tastings to leading the kitchen on event days.

Job Requirements
Experience & personal traits:
- Knowledge of Italian/Mediteranean food (But you will get the chance to learn a lot with us)
- Large scale event cooking experience
- Leadership skills
- Clear communication
- Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment
- Great time managment & organisational skills
- Experience runnning an event day kitchen
