Taco Chef

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced taco chef to join our small (but mighty) team of taco enthusiasts.

The job:

• Cooking and preparing tacos on the flat top grill, fryers and garnish section
• Quick learning, responsible, passionate and loads of enthusiasm 
• Food Safety & record-keeping 
• Flexibility to work at Taca Deptford and our prep kitchen in Brockley
• Working closely with the owner and the senior chefs to run a smooth kitchen
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Small-business mindset
• The right candidate will be able to work under pressure and have experience in busy kitchens

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Have at least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen. Ideally, experience within a street-food style operation
• Knows their way around a professional kitchen, with experience working on a grill and with fryers
• Be a quick learner and can take initiative during service 
• Be a team player. We are a small team and work closely together. Also able to work alone during quieter shifts.
• Be passionate about serving delicious food - that looks incredible
• Live locally to SE London
• Be professional, remain calm under pressure and always treat others with respect and kindness
• A bonus if you have a driving licence to help support our food distribution
