About Taca Tacos

We are an independent California-style Mexican street food brand with two restaurants in South East London.

Founded in 2019 by Thorne Addyman, Taca started life as a pop-up in a cafe before selling at street food markets and opening their first bricks and motar restaurant in Deptford in 2022. A year later, the second site opened in Peckham. 

Taca focuses on using Mexican ingredients and putting a fun and delicious spin on tacos. We don't try to be authentic - we make delicious tacos, serve tasty margaritas and bring good vibes.

Workplace Culture

Taca runs on a workplace culture built around small-team dynamics, local roots, and a high-energy kitchen and FOH environment. Because we grew organically from a local pop-up to permanent brick-and-mortar spaces in South East London, our culture feels more like an ambitious family business than a rigid corporate restaurant chain. We look after our team, we spend time listening and allow our people to create and help make decisions together. We have longstanding team members who have been with us since our first opening night and help continue our family team culture!
