Front-of-house at Calong

Job Description

We are a small, independent restaurant in Stoke Newington seeking friendly and reliable front of house team members to join us part time. 

We are a small, close knit team where personality matters as much as experience. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering great service to both our regulars and first time diners.

The role:

• Greeting guests and taking orders
• Running a section during busy services
• Maintaining a clean and organised front-of-house space
• Handling payments and guest feedback
• Assisting with set up and close down 
• Working closely with both the management team and the kitchen to deliver a great guest experience

Job Requirements

What we're looking for:

• Previous restaurant experience is essential, preferably within an independently run restaurant serving seasonal produce 
• Reliability, positivity, and the ability to work independently 
• Good communication skills, both during work and regarding availability 
• An interest in food and wine is a bonus, but all necessary product training will be provided 

Our opening hours are Wednesday-Sunday (dinner only on Wednesday and Thursday and lunch only on Sunday) so we will need availability over those days. 

This is a permanent role and best suited for someone with plans to work with us for a while. We are looking for people to invest in who grow to become a valued member of our small team!

We are looking for someone to work roughly 3 shifts a week, equating to around 20 hours weekly.
