About You
You are an adaptable, highly skilled Senior Sous Chef, who has held a similar position for at least a year. Working directly alongside our Head Chef, you act as second-in-command to drive prep, production, dish execution, and team management across our off-site events and corporate catering portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting the tone in the kitchen. You’ll lead by example, stay calm when things get busy, and help create a kitchen where people work hard, communicate well and support each other
- Keeping food safe and the kitchen organised. You’ll make sure our food safety, allergen, cleaning and temperature checks are done properly, both at our kitchen and at events.
- Making sure every dish is right. You’ll oversee prep, portions and presentation so that the food we serve looks and tastes as it should. You’ll also help the team stay on top of labelling, stock rotation, event packing and waste.
- Helping the team grow. You’ll coach junior chefs and help freelance chefs settle in quickly, sharing your skills and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Taking the lead at events. You’ll help run the kitchen on site, keep everyone clear on the plan and make sure food goes out smoothly and to the standard our clients expect.
