The CornerStone is a restaurant, bar and community hub, but it’s so much more than that! It is a community-owned social space at the centre of village life in Kinloch Rannoch, welcoming community members and visitors alike.

The CornerStone is a well-established operation, serving both the local community and visitors to Highland Perthshire. With approximately 50 covers and annual turnover in excess of £500,000, this is a substantial management role offering the opportunity to lead a successful hospitality business with a unique community purpose.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of The CornerStone and help shape its future.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hospitality management experience who enjoys building strong teams, delivering excellent customer experiences and working closely with the local community.

About the Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation, performance and financial sustainability of The CornerStone. Working alongside the Board, you will lead staff and volunteers, oversee daily operations, drive revenue growth and ensure the venue remains a welcoming and vibrant community asset.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the day-to-day running of The CornerStone

* Recruit, train and support staff and volunteers

* Deliver high standards of customer service

* Manage staffing rotas and operational planning

* Monitor sales, costs, stock control and profitability

* Oversee cash handling, reporting and administration

* Ensure compliance with food hygiene, licensing and health & safety requirements

* Work with suppliers and manage stock levels

* Develop events, promotions and activities that attract both community members and visitors

* Build strong relationships within the community and help ensure The CornerStone remains a valued social hub

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has previous management experience within hospitality, food service, retail or a similar customer-facing environment

* Is a confident leader with excellent people skills

* Has strong organisational and financial management abilities

* Is customer-focused and passionate about delivering high-quality service

* Can work flexibly and remain calm under pressure

* Enjoys being involved in community life and building positive relationships

* Is willing to take a hands-on approach and support all areas of the business when required
