Sous Chef in great Hackney Primary School

Job Description

We are looking for a great Sous Chef to join our friendly & dedicated team at Betty Layward Primary School.

Fuel for Learning are an independent & local school caterer providing fun, nutritious lunches to primary school students. We believe that great school food should be the right of all children and we are driven to provide lunches that are fresh, vibrant & exciting.

We do:

-Make everything fresh each day

-Provide fun menus that help children to engage with food in a positive way which helps them to form a healthy relationship with eating in later life

-Make dishes that reflects Britain's amazing cultural diversity

We don't:

-Use packets or powders. No instant mixes, no processed food just great ingredients, well prepared.

-Produce boring, humdrum school dinners with no love or attention!

Job Requirements

Succesful applicants will be creative, driven and enjoy working with kids in a school environmant. They will have at least 5 years experience working in good restaurants or hotels. Larger scale catering experience an advantage but not necessary.
