Job Description
We’re a busy, independent neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of East Dulwich, and we’re looking for a Head Chef to join our small and friendly team.
We’ve been open for three years and are all about proper, fresh food, great ingredients and cooking from scratch. We work with some brilliant independent producers wherever possible and our menu changes with the seasons, so there’s plenty of room for creativity. Our weekly specials board is where our chefs can have a bit of fun and bring their own ideas to the table.
Our kitchen is small and hands-on, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and genuinely enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll need to be happy getting stuck in, helping wherever needed and working closely with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house team. We’re a small restaurant, so everyone plays their part.
We’re closed Sundays and Mondays, so you’ll get a proper two-day weekend and a good work-life balance.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Head Chef or Sous Chef position
- Understanding of GP margins and stock and waste control
- Awareness of trends and seasonality of produce
- Experience or knowledge of Greek cuisine and grilled food are highly desirable
- Health and Safety certification - Level 2/3
- Good level of English
- Valid right to work in the UK
