Job Description
Cater is a leading London event catering company, that specialises in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests. We are known for our reactivity, high levels of service, quality food and flexible approach to events. With a broad range of clients from Arket, Sainsburys to Burberry. We are looking for an experienced and driven Event Manager to join our creative and expanding team.
This role combines event delivery, creative planning, and sales expertise to ensure the smooth execution of services while maximising revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, and a creative eye to their approach. This is an exciting and varied role, both office based, client side and with delivery of up to 3 events per week. You must be willing to work sometimes up to 2/4 weekends throughout the key season of May to September when required.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily focused on Brand events.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, venue and suppliers on the day, providing exceptional service and client management.
- Deliver clear team briefing on all events.
- Maintain, nurture, and help to grow our client base.
- Actively seek out and sign new Venue Partnerships.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with kitchen staff, bar teams, and all event suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and products.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to understand menu options, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain Health and Safety Standards, and Compliance levels on all events.
- Ensure effective communication between the event management team and the culinary and bar staff for a smooth event execution.
- Ensure all aspects of the event are well-coordinated and executed on schedule.
- Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure venue readiness and troubleshoot any potential issues.
- Embrace a flexible work schedule.
- Demonstrate adaptability in handling unforeseen challenges during events with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience as an Event Manager or in a related role, preferably in the hospitality or events industry.
- Project Manager experience
- Hospitality experience
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
