Job Description

The Old Point House is a coastal pub right on the shoreline in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, around two hours from the Severn Bridge. It's a rural, village location so, for the right person, accommodation is available/included. Additional kitchen/FOH/bar work may be available for a second person if you are part of a couple, or friends, looking to get out of the City and spend the summer working near the coast. The pub, and accommodation, are a stones throw from the waters edge

This will be a new opening. The business will comprise a full service restaurant, a traditional bar, plus outdoor bar and takeaway. The role involves responsibility for baking the bread for the restaurant and bar, and preparation of pies, bar snacks and takeaway sandwiches.

There will be a degree of flexibility as to number of hours and how hours are distributed throughout the day/working week, but the role will involve early starts.

This post is advertised as being seasonal. However, if a permanent position is preferred, we are open to discussion.

Job Requirements

The role requires a candidate with previous bakery and kitchen experience. You would be working largely unsupervised, but as part of an existing friendly team, and need to be comfortable working under the pressure of a busy tourist season.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about not only delicious food, but someone who also shares our enthusiasm when it comes to seasonality and quality of ingredients.
