Job Description
We are looking for a chef to work every Sunday cooking weekend brunches, as well as up to one other day per week alongside our Head Chef - either to help her with baking or preparing for an event, or covering her on days off. On Sundays, you'll need to be comfortable running the kitchen on your own (after a couple of shifts alongside our wonderful head chef to show you the ropes) - serving a small menu of brunch dishes including yoghurt and granola bowls, folded eggs, brekkie baps, toasties etc. You will be alongside two long-standing baristas who will help you settle in, the team is incredibly lovely, nurturing and supportive - there's no shouting or frenzied behaviour here.
Job Requirements
You need to be comfortable preparing dishes to order in a timely and organised way, and staying on top of orders during small busy periods. Professional kitchen experience is essential, however we're a place for talent to grow and we're open to recently trained chefs. Experience baking would be ideal, as well as brunch experience. Willingness to do the occasional evening event (maximum twice a month) is also preferred, though not essential.
