We are looking for a reliable and passionate Event Chef to support the preparation and delivery across the full range of our events. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a chef who loves food, working as part of a team, and delivering high-quality menus in some beautiful and unexpected venues.

The Role

As a chef at Cater, you will support the preparation, and planning of menus at our busy kitchens through to on-site delivery events. Working under the direction of the Head Chef, you will play an important role in ensuring food is delivered to Cater’s high standards while maintaining a calm and professional approach during service.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and execution of menus across multiple events.
• Deliver on-site with excellent communication, plating, and teamwork.
• Follow prep lists, recipes, and service plans provided by senior kitchen leadership.
• Assist with food production at volume while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance at all times.
• Work collaboratively with freelance chefs and operations teams on event days.
• Help with stock handling and kitchen organisation as required.
• Represent Cater professionally when working in front of clients and guests.

About You

• Experience as a Chef de Partie, Event Chef, or similar role, ideally within events or catering.
• Michellin experience is a nice to have
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A passion for high-quality food and well-executed events.
• Organised, reliable, and able to follow direction confidently.
