Job Description
We’re looking for a confident and reliable Sous Chef to join our small team.
- Help run the kitchen day to day
- Lead busy services and delegate tasks
- Maintain food quality and consistency
- Support with prep, ordering and stock control
- Keep the kitchen organised, clean and compliant
- Work closely with the owner and lead by example
You don’t need previous Sous Chef experience, but solid kitchen experience and confidence running a busy service are essential.
Approximately 45 hours a week.
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Confident running a service and keeping the kitchen and team organised
- Reliable, hard-working and happy to get stuck in
- Calm and practical under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork
- Strong focus on consistency, cleanliness and food safety
- Comfortable taking responsibility
- An interest in quality burgers and good ingredients
- Previous Sous Chef experience is helpful but not essential
