Reservations Manager & Host

Job Description

We’re looking for a highly organised Host/Hostess & Reservations Manager who will take ownership of reservations, guest communication and service flow, while setting the tone at the door.

This role is primarily reservations-led, with responsibility for managing bookings, pacing the floor and supporting private dining and group enquiries.

You’ll work closely with management to ensure covers are optimised, guest data is maintained, and the room runs smoothly from arrival to departure.

You will:

• Take full ownership of reservations across SevenRooms and The Fork.
• Optimise seating plans to balance guest experience and cover targets.
• Manage guest profiles, tags and notes with accuracy.
• Handle group bookings and support private dining enquiries.
• Monitor covers and pacing throughout service.
• Act as the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm, confident hosting.
• Communicate closely with floor and management to maintain smooth service flow.
• Maintain accurate reporting on covers and guest data.

Job Requirements

You should have:

• Previous experience managing reservations in a busy restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of SevenRooms (or similar reservation platforms).
• Confidence handling high volumes of bookings and guest communication.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to optimise seating plans strategically.
• Calm presence during busy service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with ownership mentality.
