Wedding Manager
Location: E3 2TB
Reporting into: Lucy Hampson, Head of Weddings
Cater are looking for a brilliant Wedding Manager to join the Cater Family. You don’t need to have a Catering background, just have a keen eye for project or event management, and the desire to deliver first class service to our clients and their guests from the initial phone call through to their big day.
From intimate weddings to large scale celebrations, we're looking for an Wedding Manager who can deliver effectively, motivate the team, and think fast on their feet. You just need the drive to make the role your own, and some transferable skills to match. We are offering a shadowing period to get you up to speed, where you will work alongside our existing Wedding Manager and Operations Director.
You will:
Manage the end-to-end wedding process.
Be excited to convert sales
Deliver ¾ weekends during peak season (May to September) gaining TOIL.
Plan and deliver profitable events
Grow the freelance database with an active, skilled team.
Work well with the other departments, Kitchen, and Operations.
Clear briefing on all events.
Maintain, nurture, and grow Venue Partnerships.
Partner with 1 new venue per year, with a bonus incentive
Manage your projects to ensure a net profit
Weekly and Monthly reporting on sales, leads and partnerships.
Monthly reporting on Staffing, new joiners and any leavers.
Maintaining Health and Safety & compliance standards on all events
Always leading by example and setting the Cater standard.
Job Requirements
Ideally, you can:
Demonstrate previous managerial or supervisory experience, not necessarily in a hospitality setting
Good Communication skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and service standards
Good stake-holder management
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Accountable and resilient
Ability to work under pressure
A passion for food, drink events and hospitality are a must and will be evident in your life inside and
outside of work.
An ability to connect in with multiple groups of people and work with all departments of the business.
The candidate should have key skills in project management and have a good IT understanding.
