Job Description

• Pizza Pārā is a Neapolitan pizzeria on Kingsland Road, Haggerston — part of the family-run MAP Group, alongside MAP Maison and La Bibliothèque. We're looking for a Neapolitan Pizza Chef to be the heart of our kitchen.
• Prepare and assemble pizza ingredients with precision, keeping freshness and quality consistent across every order.
• Fire Neapolitan pizzas to perfection, and cook our pasta dishes and other menu items alongside them.
• Work to our recipes and portion guidelines so every pizza that leaves the kitchen is the same one.
• Handle dine-in and take-out prep, supporting the wider service as it gets busy.
• Keep the section clean, organised and fully compliant with food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and flag what's needed to management before it runs out.
• Lead and deliver our pizza-making classes — a chance to teach your craft, not just cook it.
• Step onto the floor and serve guests when needed, with a friendly and professional manner.
• £17 per hour starting rate, 30–40 hours per week. Company pension, free staff food on shift, and employee discount across the MAP Group venues.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience making Neapolitan pizza in a fast-paced restaurant or pizzeria.
• Strong dough skills — handling, stretching, topping and baking to a consistent standard.
• Confident cooking popular pasta dishes alongside the pizza offer.
• Experience running or presenting pizza-making classes.
• Solid knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food safety regulations, including sanitation practice.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure without losing attention to detail.
• Good communicator — comfortable working as part of a team and dealing with guests directly when serving or taking orders.
• Familiar with day-to-day restaurant operations, including inventory management.
• Genuine passion for pizza and a desire to keep improving.
• Full right to work in the UK — we're unable to sponsor visa applications.
