Job Description
Milk Run, little sister to well known Balham brunch spot Milk, is a popular, creative, and exciting new bakery - we’ve only been around since July 2024, but we’ve already earned our place in many of the ‘London’s best bakeries’ articles online, and have even been nominated as Greater London’s best bakery in the National Bakery Awards 2025
We aim to provide an experience that stands up to the quality of the product we’re presenting - we use good quality produce and are inventive with our flavours, welcoming creativity in the bakery. New staff members will receive a high level of training to ensure they’re knowledgeable about all aspects of the bakery.
We’re now looking for a pastry chef to join our passionate and hard working team. We're looking for someone that’s looking for the next step in their bakery career - someone that’s ready to step up into the role, and support our hard working, small team.
This role's primary focus is on our collection of pastries offered at our counter. We are open to talking to candidates who lack skills in bread baking; for us, personality is just as important! However there will be an expectation that you are open to learning more about the art of bread baking.
Job Requirements
Ideally, the right candidate will have plenty of experience working full time in a bakery and will be passionate about being present and hard-working in a team that adheres to a high standard.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the other bakers in the bakery; ensuring a shared accountability is common practice
- Assisting with the ordering of, close management of stock & labor efficiency
- Ensuring all health and hygiene procedures are implemented & continually adhered to
- Having the ability to work and train on every section of the bakery
