Brick House is an award-winning sourdough bakery and café with branches in East Dulwich and Peckham. Our menus are seasonal and have a breakfast, brunch and lunch focus, and we work with only the best seasonal ingredients from suppliers including Neal’s Yard Dairy, Swaledale and Natoora. Alongside our excellent bread and pastries that the on-site bakery produces, the kitchen makes as much as possible from scratch including stocks, jams, pickles, chutneys and charcuterie.
We’re looking for a Sous Chef to help run the kitchens at our cafés in East Dulwich and Peckham.
Working under Head Chef James Mossman (ex 10 Greek Street & Cinnamon Club), you'll help manage a small team of talented chefs to deliver and develop our regularly changing, seasonal menu. You will liaise with suppliers, handle orders and together with James devise new dishes.
Aside from the occasional evening event, this position is strictly day-time, offering an enviable quality of life for this kind of role.
As well as being a skilled, creative and experienced, the right candidate will have some management experience, and be passionate about running an organised kitchen including managing orders, GPs, stock control, and be fully proficient in food safety and HACCP procedures.
