Job Description

We're looking for friendly, talkative, confident front of house staff for our Michelin-starred modern West African restaurant in Fitzrovia, led by female chef Joké Bakare. The restaurant has 42 covers, trades Monday to Friday only, and is closed on Wednesday lunchtimes too.

We are not a fine dining restaurant; our style is easy-going and homely, and we are looking for someone who fits in with that, without being too casual.

We offer a relaxed working environment, reasonable shift times (start 11.30am, finish no later than midnight but usually 11pm) and great staff meals. The people who stay with us the longest - all of the team have been with us at least a year, and some for three years - are the ones who are interested in our food and our story and are happy to talk about it with customers, who usually have lots of questions.

Job Requirements

At least one year's experience in a table service restaurant please - not a café, bar, pub or deli; we need restaurant experience for this role.

You must be able to work at least 25 hours per week - this job is not suitable for someone on a student visa. You must be available to work on Friday nights most weeks (as it's our busiest shift).

You must be able to cope with both quiet shifts and very busy shifts.

Helpful but not essential qualities we're looking for:
