Countertalk’s event history
One of the best parts of Countertalk’s history is our events. Here’s a run down of our biggest and best so far:
Countertalk x BREAD
Sept 2018
Our first food event involved getting some of our favourite bakeries in a room together for a night of bread based snacks, networking and talks from the industry’s finest.
Our event sold out in minutes and we were joined by over 100 of London’s keenest bread enthusiasts, on top of this the bakery owners got to connect and we saw some meaningful partnerships begin
St. JOHN Bakery; Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver spoke on the origins of the famous St. JOHN sourdough
Pump Street Bakery; Chris on the story of Pump Street Bakery
Toast Ale; We learnt all about how the idea for Toast Ale came about using waste bread
The Dusty Knuckle Bakery; Rebecca and Daisy gave an iconic talk on how they started the bakery, a talk that cried out for a follow up Netflix series if you ask us and our audience
Margot Bakery; Provided us with Sourdough Babka, Challah and beautiful sourdough
Brick House Bakery; The story of our much loved Brick House Bakery by Fergus and Sharmin Jackson
Little Bread Pedlar; Sam Rawlings on sourdough starters
Chef James Carn; How to make gorgeous malt sourdough
We sent everyone home with a goodie bag that we still see popping up all over London, filled with doughnuts, cookies and bakery goods.
