We're not your typical taqueria. At Homies on Donkeys, we bring Tijuana-rooted recipes and chef-level technique to East London, creating bold, unapologetically flavoured Mexican food that honours tradition while pushing it forward. 

Every dish starts with deep understanding of Mexican culinary traditions, then gets built with a chef's brain and a scientist's curiosity.

We serve tacos, tostadas, and plates that make people rethink what Mexican food can be. We're building a neighbourhood spot where food lovers come for flavours they can't get anywhere else, and where our team actually wants to show up and create something they're proud of.
 

Workplace Culture

We take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. There’s pride in the work. Food and drink are thought through. Service has rhythm. The details matter, and everyone is expected to care about them.
