Created by Erchen Chang, Wai Ting & Shing Tat Chung in 2013. BAO started as a Market stall in a car park in East London. Steaming buns for two years on the streets, BAO opened it’s first permanent restaurant in Soho in April 2015. BAO now has three restaurants, one in Fitzrovia and its third in Borough Market You can still find us at Netil Market where we first started, every Saturday for four hours.
Our goal is to create restaurants that offer a different experience to each other, inspired by our upbringing and travels around Asia. Each restaurant has a unique menu and a different story.
