The Connection at St Martin's

The Connection at St Martin’s helps thousands of people every year to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London. We do this by tackling the underlying causes of rough sleeping as well as offering practical help.

We provide tailored employment support and training, volunteering opportunities and housing advice. We also provide a variety of specialist services to help clients cope with the physical and psychological effects of being homeless, empowering them to develop their strengths and ability to change their own future and recover from homelessness – working with clients, not for them.

We have recently moved towards embracing enterprise, and will use food and drink based enterprise to provide training and routes to work for our homeless clients, as well as working in collaboration with our clients to develop high quality and delicious products for sale through our partner cafes, to local cafes and delis and through our online shop.

The Connection at St Martin’s helps thousands of people every year to recover from homelessness. We do this by tackling the underlying causes of homelessness as well as offering practical help. This year we are lauching a series of social enterprises at The Connection. The first of these will be our Communal Breakfasts.  Every morning in August we’ll be setting out and laying up a long breakfast table, where one can hunker in the courtyard behind St Martin-in-the-Fields Church near Trafalgar Square and enjoy a delicious menu prepared and served by our homeless clients. The courtyard will be open 8 – 10am on each weeday in August, with breakfast served from 8.30am. Menu: Monmouth Coffee and Good & Proper Tea Freshly squeezed juices Pink grapefruits Yoghurt and homemade granola Homemade fruit compotes Baked tomatoes, boiled eggs, green sauce and plenty of toast
