What Happens When We Receive a Complaint About a Job Post

At Countertalk, we are committed to advertising jobs from establishments that foster healthy working environments. This means promoting roles that offer fair wages, reasonable hours, proper breaks, and positive team dynamics. Our goal is to support workplaces that prioritise well-being. You can learn more about our ethos by visiting our website or following us on Instagram.

Our Vetting Process

When an establishment wishes to post a job with us, they must first go through our vetting process. This involves completing a detailed form with questions regarding the role’s pay, hours, position, work-life balance, perks, and more. Based on their responses, we either approve or deny the listing. Only approved posts go live on our website for applicants to view and apply.

Our Protocol for Complaints

Despite our vetting, we understand that issues can sometimes arise. If a member of our community contacts us with concerns about an establishment not upholding the standards we expect, we have a structured process in place to ensure fairness and accountability.

How to File a Complaint

If you would like to file a complaint, please email us at service@countertalk.co.uk. Your email must include:

– The name of the establishment
– The link to the job post
– The date on which the incident occurred
– Valid evidence (within the past year) supporting your complaint

What Happens Next?

Once we receive your complaint:

  1. Immediate Action
If we receive a number of complaints regarding an establishment, we will place the job post on hold, meaning it will no longer be visible or live on our platform.
  2. Notify the Establishment
We will anonymise the complaints and send them to the establishment for their review, along with a link to our Countertalk Culture Survey. This survey is completed anonymously by the establishment’s current employees to gather candid feedback on the work environment.
  3. Working on Improvements
Based on the survey results and other feedback, we will work closely with the employer to address any areas of concern. Our goal is to help establishments improve their workplace culture. Only once these improvements have been made will the establishment be able to advertise jobs with us again.
We take pride in supporting a healthy working environment for all job seekers and aim to foster lasting change by holding establishments accountable to our high standards. Thank you for helping us maintain this commitment.
