The Waterman's Arms is a pub restaurant in a unique and ididlic setting on the river in Barnes. With 85 covers split over two floors, with a balcony and a private dining space we are perfectly set up to cater for different types if dining experiences. From intimate dinners watching the sun go down to larger weekend lunches and private events we have become a well loved part of the local community as well as destination for diners from further afield. 

The menu is elevated and produce-driven led by Exec Chef Sam Andrews that balances neighbourhood pub comfort with sophisticated, chef-led cooking. The menu changes regularly to highlight the finest seasonal British ingredients, pairing inventive small plates—like curried hand-dived scallops and fresh oysters—with robust, fire-cooked sharing cuts, premium steaks, and fresh market fish detailed on daily chalkboard specials. 

The drinks list is thoughtfully curated to complement our seasonal menus and relaxed riverside vibe. We offer a diverse selection of around 50 wines featuring accessible, easy-drinking house pours, interesting low intervention biodynamic lines and exceptional Old World bottles. You will also find an inventive menu of seasonal house cocktails alongside a high-quality line-up of non-alcoholic serves. The beers are local and independent with regularly changing real ales and a cracking pint of Guinness.
