About Lady of the Grapes

Lady of the Grapes is a modern French bistro and wine bar celebrating great food, natural wine and the women behind the bottle.

Our wine list focuses on organic, biodynamic and natural wines, with a particular commitment to championing female winemakers and growers from all around the world. We work with independent producers who share our values of thoughtful farming, minimal intervention and respect for the land.

Alongside the wines, we serve modern French bistro food inspired by seasonality, quality produce and the convivial spirit of French dining. Our menu is designed to be enjoyed around the table, whether over a few small plates and a glass of wine or a full meal.

At the heart of Lady of the Grapes is a desire to make wine approachable, inclusive and enjoyable. We combine the warmth and informality of a neighbourhood wine bar with the quality and attention to detail of a contemporary French bistro, creating a place to discover new wines, share good food and celebrate the people who make them.

We have currently 3 venues, Lady of the Grapes Covent Garden, Lady of the Grapes London Bridge, Forbidden Fruits (speak easy wine bar underneath Lady of the Grapes London Bridge)

Workplace Culture

At Lady of the Grapes, our culture is warm, inclusive and passionate. We are a close-knit team brought together by a love of hospitality, food and wine, and by a shared belief that great experiences come from genuine human connection.

We encourage curiosity and continuous learning, creating an environment where everyone can develop their knowledge, share ideas and grow in confidence. Wine can sometimes feel intimidating, so we believe in making it approachable, both for our guests and within our team.

Collaboration, communication and mutual respect are at the heart of how we work. Every member of the team has a voice and plays an important part in the experience we create. We value people who are communicative, reliable and supportive of one another, because a strong team depends on everyone being able to trust and count on each other.

We also believe that working in hospitality should allow space for a healthy life outside of work. We aim to be flexible with our rotas and, wherever possible, take individual needs into consideration. We want everyone in our team to have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy work-life balance while also being fair and supportive towards their colleagues.

We are proud to champion women in wine and to work with independent producers who care deeply about their craft and the environment. Those same values of authenticity, respect, gender equality, diversity and individuality shape our workplace.

Above all, we want Lady of the Grapes to be a place where people feel welcome, supported and inspired, whether they are joining us for a glass of wine or coming to work every day.
