About Tillingham

Tillingham is a 70-acre Regenerative and Biodynamic farm set amongst the rolling hills and sprawling ancient woodland of East Sussex. Founded in 2017 and situated on the site of a mediaeval farmstead and former hop farm, we are a mixed-agricultural holding utilising both modern and ancient techniques. Tillingham began as a low-intervention winery pushing the boundaries of modern British winemaking and grape growing, and to explore the possibilities of the English climate and terroir. Construction work began in the farm buildings in 2018, to develop the entire hospitality arm encompassing eleven rooms, fifty-cover restaurant, and bar. Pizza in the dutch barn began the following Spring. Other strings to our bow include Tours & Tastings, homewares and an online shop. We have over forty members of staff working across both businesses and more on the way.
