The Retreat is your local neighbourhood bar, we rely on repeat trade based on good customer service and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Red walls with a French bistro feel; the inside of the pub/bar hasn't changed since our inception 36 years ago, serving lunch 12- 3 and drinks until 11pm Monday-Saturday. It's an old school format but one that's worked for us over the years. Now in our third year of running the bar we're making subtle tweaks, mainly focusing on the food side to bring a menu of comforting humble dishes using local suppliers and following the seasons. So far our nightime offering of events and entertainment has adpated and evolved into bringing in a new customer, we hope to replicate this success with the food side of things.
