About The Drewe Arms Community Pub
The Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton; a seventeenth century pub with a rich history, home to England’s longest serving landlady, Mabel Mudge from 1919 to 1994 and now a thriving community pub. Closed in 2022, the community came together, raising over £600k to purchase, refurbish and open the pub just over two years ago.
As a community owned pub, The Drewe puts a huge emphasis on quality. The menu is short, but the food is always fresh and delicious – sourcing food from local suppliers wherever possible, and always working with the seasons. The beer, lager and cider, too, is also local, fresh and delicious. The Drewe’s commitment to quality is going down well with its customers:
“Absolute hidden gem .. We will 100% be returning”
“A beautiful pub … great environment. The staff are amazing and the food is impeccable.”
“We were seven (plus dog) - family and friends from across the world and UK getting together. Wonderful, friendly service.”
