About Dulwich Picture Gallery
Dulwich Picture Gallery is a world-renowned art gallery and registered charity, celebrated for making great art accessible to all since 1817, when it became the first purpose-built public art gallery. With a remarkable collection of European masterpieces and a bold, innovative approach to programming, we continue to set the standard for how art can spark creativity, and enrich lives.
In 2025 we opened our Sculpture Garden, the Canteen and ArtPlay Pavilion, creating new spaces for creativity, exploration, and community engagement. The Gallery Café is a welcoming, relaxed and stylish space serving speciality takeaway coffee, brunch, lunch and light refreshments, while the Canteen offers convenient speciality takeaway coffee and grab-and-go options for families and visitors on the move. The Gallery Café and the Canteen form part of the whole Gallery which has an exciting upcoming exhibition programme which spans continents, reflecting our commitment to championing some of the world’s greatest, and often overlooked, artists.
