About Chocolarder
Back in 2011 Mike Longman was working as a pastry chef in the middle of nowhere in Cornwall, UK – he went hunting for local chocolate only to find nobody made their own. So like any good chef, he rolled up his sleeves, found some cocoa beans online and got to work. He’s been unable to keep up with demand ever since.
Chocolarder is now one of the largest craft chocolate makers in the UK, proudly standing for the true flavour of cocoa with a wide range of single origin bars available, as well as our local inclusions and wider chocolate range.
We have a factory full of renovated antiques to craft their chocolate, and in 2026 the team have relaunched their chocolate bar packaging. It may look like a normal chocolate bar box, but it opens out to reveal a cocoa pod on the inside.
Always minimal ingredients, always plastic free and always just the right melt.
Workplace Culture
We're a small team, across both production and the office. Working across two sites which are just 5 minutes from each other, and the beach. We get together once a week for team lunch which is provided by the company, and look after one another. No two days are the same, we work with antique machines which can be unpredicatable but make delicious chocolate, we are driven by the incredible flavours we can create with our products.
