Our award winning restaurant The Begging Bowl opened in August 2012 with rave reviews. An all year round, busy 74 seater restaurant open from Monday dinner to Sunday lunch. We recently rebuilt the kitchen and refurbished the whole restaurant.
We are passionate about Thai food, fresh ingredients, seasonality and making everything from scratch. There is a wealth of experience in the kitchen with CDP positions coming up rarely.
The head chef Jane Alty has been cooking for 20 years and specialised in Thai food while working for David Thompson at Michelin Starred restaurant Nahm at The Halkin Hotel in Belgravia.

Our menu is constructed on a sharing basis as you would get if you were eating in Thailand. Served hot, spicy and full of flavour and is served as the dishes are ready.
An experienced chef (Asian cooking experience, not essential) will be taught to breakdown these ingredients with care and skill, and have the ability to expand their knowledge and all important pallet.
Forget rainbow coloured curries you get at your corner Thai shop, each day at The Begging Bowl we make everything from scratch; our own coconut cream, curry pastes, sauces and desserts. Our new Ox charcoal grill, triple wok burner and ovens are fired up all day to produce seasonal unique dishes you won’t find anywhere else in London.

We have created a supportive family environment at The Begging Bowl. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively and be able to work within a close knit team of FOH and BOH.
Our next team member will be open minded, able to listen to instruction and has a can-do attitude. We will put all our resources into training the next chef on all sections including wok section and charcoal grill.
An experienced chef with 1-3 year's experience in restaurants, a passion for cooking and an interest in Thai food. No Thai food experience necessary, you will recieve training on site.
