A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Town Hall Hotel & Apartments; we are currently recruiting for enthusiastic Floor Supervisor to join the team.

Set in the heart of London’s vibrant East End, recently awarded Top 100 Wedding Venues in the World by Brides Magazine; Town Hall Hotel provides a variety of conferences, weddings & social events throughout the year. Town Hall Hotel has long been a popular fixture on East London’s foodie scene and for a good reason. Located on the first floor of the Town Hall Hotel, the 30-cover Corner Room is an informal haunt by day and intimate dining room by night, the restaurant is a familiar player on the evolving culinary landscape in this corner of the capital.

Role description

The ideal candidate will be service orientated, attentive, and professional with an entrepreneurial approach. We are looking for someone with ability to: motivate team, drive service and deliver unique guest experience with enthusiasm and flair.

This is a 40 hour contract with hours suiting the needs of the business. 

A working week will consist of a wedding, private functions, breakfast service and restaurant service, no day will be the same!


The main responsibilities for the Floor Supervisor will be:

  • All operational aspects of the daily service
  • Guiding and supervising the waiting staff during service
  • Delivering on the job training to develop new and existing team members
  • Service delivery planning and ensuring that the team is prepared at the start of each service/event
  • Working closely with senior leadership team on an ongoing improvement of the service and offering

Ideal candidate

From 25th January – April 2020 we will be hosting an immersive theatre experience called ‘The Invitation’. This production takes place five nights a week and a very fun and busy part of our events calendar. Our new floor supervisor will be actively involved in the operation of this production and working closely with the actors and audience members to make it the best yet. Ideally we would love a candidate that has interest in this and is excited about the project. 

Desired experience/skills

Experience in restaurant and events at a supervisory level.

There will be training along the way from cocktail training with East London Liquor, Volcano Coffee Training to Health and Safety and First Aid.
