Kitchenette Karts is a social enterprise food truck based at Spitalfields Market. We trade Monday-Friday lunch times serving a Vietnamese street food menu.
Our food truck training programme supports young adult prison-leavers to launch careers in the food industry or set up their own food business. We achieve this through a tried-and-tested combination of real work experience in our food truck, stages with our partner restaurants and mentorship from our charity partner Switchback.
Over the course of 12 weeks, trainees learn the essential skills needed to run a food business first-hand including prepping & cooking; front of house; operations & logistics; costings & GP and how to write a business plan.
As we grow and expand our food truck training programme at Spitalfields Market, we are looking for a Culinary Director to help develop and deliver London’s best hospitality training and development programme for disadvantaged young people, including prison leavers.
