Peckham Cellars is a new neighbourhood wine bar and seasonal kitchen opening in South East London this autumn. Peckham Cellars will be owned and run by three friends and long-time South London residents.
Quality produce and seasonality will be at the heart of our menu. With an open kitchen and kitchen counter-seating, as well as a restaurant and bar area, we aim to create a relaxed neighbourhood space, where quality and flavour are central to what we do.
Our menu will be founded on high quality produce and seasonality. Unconstrained by one cuisine or area of the world the menu will be small and fun, changing weekly and using the best of British and European produce.
We are looking for chefs at all levels to support the Head Chef in a 4 person kitchen team which includes the chef owner Helen Hall.
We will encourage autonomy and creativity in the kitchen and want our chefs at all levels to contribute ideas to the menu. We want our kitchen to be a positive, fun and collaborative environment.
All the chefs will be involved in each area of the kitchen, getting stuck in to all aspects. This is a perfect environment for someone wanting to learn and hone their skills and for people looking to develop and move up in a new hospitality company.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about both food and drink, will have knowledge of food and ingredients from around the world and be aware of trends in the London restaurant scene. Sustainability is important to us and we want our chefs to care about the provenance of their ingredients.
Our ideal candidate will also want to talk to and share their passion for our product with our guests. With a horseshoe kitchen/bar in the middle of the room, there will be guests sat around the kitchen and the team will always be in view.
So the ideal candidate is someone at CDP level, looking to hone their skills and work in a learning kitchen with a regularly changing menu. Pay is negotiable relevant to experience, and regular reviews will be part of the chefs contract. Chefs will work with only fresh and carefully sourced produce, and should be able to handle produce with the same care. Some fish preparation and basic butchery is ideal but not a necessity, the right attitude and a want to learn is first to experience!
