Salon is a restaurant in Brixton that serves creative, seasonally-led food in a relaxed and informal setting. We opened in late 2012 and have steadily gained a reputation for serving some of the most exciting food in South London and have become a beacon for good food in the area, and beyond.

At Salon, we put a heavy emphasis on sustainability in our restaurant, from the fish we source to the wine we serve. We focus heavily on using local British produce, showcasing what our great farmers have to offer. We also believe in using all parts of not only the animal, but also vegetables. We like to think of it as root to leaf cooking. Our wine list is heavily weighted to natural and biodynamic winemakers who share our ethos of creating amazing products with low intervention.
We are looking for an ambitious Assistant General Manager who is adaptable and passionate about sustainable food and natural wine. The role will involve all aspects of running a restaurant, from working hand in hand with the Head Chef to training staff.
As a small restaurant and an even smaller team, we are looking for a team player who is confident and knows how to keep the team motivated and excited about their role in the company. This is a multi-faceted role which will challenge the right candidate to use every skill in their possession. You will work directly with the Zoe the general manager as well as Matt and Mark, the FOH Directors to manage stock, FOH rotas, weekly management reporting, training, customer relations and events support. The role will also require a strong presence on the restaurant floor and the ability to manage a busy service.
