About us

A well-established café, Social Pantry Café in Lavender Hill is a cool contemporary neighbourhood destination serving well-sourced, delicious and seasonal food. From a relaxed breakfast with friends, lunch with the family or simply to kick back with a glass of wine the café is a great place to spend time.  Open 7 days a week 7.30am til 4pm, Monday to Friday (and a bit later at the weekend)  We also have private events on some evenings.

Founded in 2011, our founder Alex Head as featured in Vogue, The Daily Telegraph, Harper’s Bazaar, Social Pantry quickly became the ‘go to’ caterer in London. Our vision is to make a meaningful impact through food and drink. We also work with social enterprises that naturally connect with the values of our business.

Role description

We are looking for an experienced Café Manager to come and join and manage our team!  You'll do all the usual General Manager duties that are required to successfully run a bustling cafe.  Managing the both the FOH and BOH teams to ensure they work to their best ability and give the customers the full Social Pantry experience 

 

You'll work closely with the Chefs, both in the Cafe and at our Production Unit to ensure that our offer is what the customer is looking for.

 

Responsibilities

Effectively run the cafe to your own high standards

Train, evaluate, mentor and ensure high quality performance from restaurant staff to ensure they are happy and committed to Social Pantry.

Respond to customer inquiries requests, and complaints

Order supplies, check inventory, maintain budget and finance reporting

Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure food standards are upheld and food quality.

 

 

Ideal candidate

The ideal manager will have proven experience in managing a cafe with great attentiveness and patience for customers.

They must also have strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with a great team spirit.

Food safety training is a plus.
