Following the success of Lyle’s, one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, James Lowe and John Ogier have headed to Borough Market to open a new wine bar and bakery, Flor. Inspired by the buvettes of Paris and the pintxos bars in San Sebastián, Flor is open Mon to Saturday Lunch & Dinner with a focus on sourdough bread and viennoiserie, produce- and provenance-led cooking, and an approachable wine list.
Split across two floors, Flor is housed in a 19th century building in the centre of Borough Market, which features floor-to-ceiling Crittall windows flooding the room with natural light, pulled ajar during the warmer months. Guests can take a seat at the relaxed counter overlooking the open kitchen, or climb the original black cast-iron spiral staircase upstairs, where the space features original brickwork walls, banquette seating and accents of marble and stone.
As Chef de Partie you will be working within a small team, assisting the Head and Sous Chefs by preparing and executing dishes to the highest standards. While adhering to strict food safety & hygiene standards and minimising food wastage.
